FVHA 6U

The FVHA 6U Eagles program is designed to provide young players with a fun, positive, and development-focused hockey experience while continuing to build the fundamental skills that will serve as the foundation for their hockey journey.

The season will run from approximately early/mid-October through early/mid-March. Players will participate in regular practices throughout the season with an emphasis on skating, puck skills, passing, shooting, small-area games, and age-appropriate hockey concepts.

At the 6U level, our focus is on maximizing player involvement and creating an environment where kids receive plenty of touches, learn through play, build confidence, and develop a genuine love for the game. Coaches will emphasize individual skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, effort, and creating positive experiences both on and off the ice.

In addition to regular practices and game opportunities throughout the season, the FVHA 6U Eagles will participate in two 6U tournaments, giving players the opportunity to experience tournament hockey, compete against other programs, and have fun together as a team.

At FVHA, our goal isn't simply to prepare players for the next game. We're preparing them for the next level. The 8U program represents an important step in the FVHA Player Pathway, helping players develop the skills, confidence, and love for hockey they'll carry with them as they progress into 10U and beyond.
